Is this a subsystem?

@AlbertP can you elaborate on the criteria of your question?

The 0x0691 is the id used by Supermicro for their integrated/onboard SAS2308 SAS controllers on some of their motherboards.

PCI devices typically have a vendor & device ID marking the chip and a subvendor & subdevice ID (together called subsystem) marking the board on which that chip is found. As this is a Supermicro ID which is a board manufacturer, I suspect it is a subsystem, not the device ID which ought to be LSI's (1000:xxxx I think).

If indeed a subsystem please look up the relevant LSI device ID, go to that page and add subsystem "15d9 0691" there. If in doubt, you can post a link to the output of lspci -knn (Linux) or to a screenshot of the 'hardware ID' section in the device properties (Windows).

Deletion request

@AlbertP: thanks for the clarification. I'll submit this as sub-system.
