Name: GF106 [GeForce GT 555M]

The ID does not say anything about the memory type. There are loads of cards sharing the same ID using a different memory type (10de:0dd2 for example). The different ID's of some card types mean different chip types, not different memory types. This ID is the GF106 version, and 10de:0dcd is the GF108 version.

This isn't 555M - this is 540M. Lots of people having "device 0df4" in LSPCI report having a GT 540M.

Please accept this name. It is really not a 555M!!!
This wrong ID is very confusing.

Yes, this is definitely a 540M. Ref

GeForce GT 540M 0x0DF4 C
GeForce GT 555M 0x0DCD C
GeForce GT 555M 0x0DCE C

So can we change it back to the correct description in here?

I have been confirmed that Windows also detects this one as a 540M.
